Chuck Close
I like this portrait by Close because it is different from his other styles and it is also very interesting. Most of his other work is simply headshot portraits but this one is much more complex. Also this image is interesting because it is almost like different phases of a moon.

Repetition of Form
In this photo the artist has arranged painted urns in a way that makes them all stand together and in unison. No urn stands out among the rest

Andy Goldsworthy
Andy Goldsworthy uses repetition in this photo. He also places rocks of similar colors in the same region in order to make an image that would not normally be seen

Gestalt
This image used proximity. It uses the white space of the picture to make an image appear that is not outlined with drawing.
Louise Nevelson
Louise Nevelson's box artwork is very different from the other's that we have studied. Her pieces come together and work in unison much more than the others. By using the same material and some color everything works together and one piece does not retract from any others. I like this piece cause to me it resembles some type of vault or safe, possibly containg her prized possessions.
Lucas Samaras
This box by Lucas Samaras interests me mostly because of the shape of the outside. it does not ft the typical box shape but is coned on one side setting it apart form all the others.
Cornell Box
This a Cornell Box titled Soap Bubble set. Since it has a ball and tools that look like it could be used to scoop the ball it reminds me of a game of some type.

Form and Content
I think that the author is making some insinuation that individuals who go against the current "law" figure are seen as a threat. It clearly does not need four people to stop a man form painting on a wall but they use extreme force and do so it what appears to be in a very fast time period. The picture could also mean that individuals do not do well in standing up alone but in numbers there is more to be accomplished. The form is of a single man painting his rebellion and being struck down.

Defintion of Design
the definition of design from the Merriam -Webster dictionary is: : to create, fashion, execute, or construct according to plan.
The image shows a man doing a very complex design of a circuit board. To me this is extraordinary because designing something this takes a large amount of time, dedication, and intelligence.
